The Club was founded in 1974 in Worlington by Linda Porter-Cohen, who is now the club's President. We have our own showground, at Fordham, Cambs., approximately 5 miles north of Newmarket.

The club became affiliated to the British Horse Society in 1976 and each year between 100 and 120 Senior members and between 25 and 35 Junior members subscribe to the club.

Activities, available for Members only, include Novice Show Jumping competitions held monthly from March to October as well as Dressage competitions also monthly at which members can qualify for Championships in both disciplines at the end of the season.

The Club holds three shows which are also open to non-members each year in April, June and August  Classes at these shows are Junior and Senior Show Jumping, as well as Family Pony/Utility Horse and Veteran classes. All are unaffiliated classes.

Also open to non-members are 2 very novice show jumping shows in the spring and summer.
There is one Dressage competition also open to non-members.

The club has many trophies to be won both at the open shows and at those restricted to members.

Worlington's Quadrille team achieved great success in 2006 when it was awarded third place at the Quadrille of theYear final at the International Christmas Show at Olympia in December.. Preparations are already taking place for the next competition.
